Summer is not over just yet. The heat is as menacing as ever, and nobody would ever dare to stay underneath the heat of the sun for longer than a few minutes.

Unfortunately, two dogs were not lucky enough to have a safe home that would protect them from the harsh heat of the sun.

In a video uploaded by the Harp Twins on their YouTube channel, they shared one encounter with two dogs on the highway. It was a story that started out sad, but ended with a beautiful outcome.

The Harp Twins are identical twin harpists. Camille and Kennerly Kitt, known for their talent in playing the harp together, were on the road for their tour when they happened to find a couple of pups wandering on the road. One black dog and one brown dog were together and standing on the asphalt under the scorching heat.

Trucks and other vehicles were barely missing the two pups who were already walking in the middle of the road.

The heat was unforgiving, and it was obvious that the two pups were not comfortable as they roamed around the area. Worried about the dogs’ safety and well-being, the Harp Twins and another pair of musicians (the Volfgang Twins) stopped the car and went to the poor doggos.

The pups were obviously disoriented because of the heat. They must have been on the asphalt for quite a long time, and were looking for help.

When the dogs saw the car stop for them, their tails wagged in glee.

Seeing that the doggos were in dire need of rescue, the group pulled over and approached the animals. They were instantly coming closer to them, welcoming the shade they were providing. The look of hope on the pups’ faces said it all.

From the view of the rescuers, the dogs were trying to go on the road and follow the heartless person who abandoned them on such a dangerous and hot road. It was a sad story, and the team knew they had to do something.

One was an old male and the other was a female puppy.

Because of the extreme heat, the dogs were found to be extremely dehydrated. Their exhaustion was evident from the way they moved. They were smelly and hot as a result of their overstaying on the hot road.

Seeing the dogs like this was definitely heartbreaking. The team took them in the car and gave them the comfort they longed for. The two dogs welcomed their kind accommodation.

Getting them out of the road was not enough for the Harp Twins and their fellow musicians.

Instead of just giving them temporary comfort, the team went and looked for a home that would accept the dogs. It was a stroke of luck that they met a kind man who was also a farmer.

The elderly man was nice and was happy to welcome the two dogs to his farm. It was a moment that brought back faith in humanity. In the video, they explained:

“He didn’t know the dogs, but by some miracle, said they “were just what he was looking for,” and that his own old dog was “lonely.”

He was kind and the dogs were fortunate that even when someone without a heart left them for dead, there are still kind people in the world who are willing to save pups from hot roads, and farmers who are happy to accept them.
