All of us can be a little over the top when it comes to protecting ou loved ones. After all, it comes with the territory.
No one wants to see the people they care for face any potential threats or dangers, so we step in to prevent it.
Meet Bailey. He’s a “mama’s” dog.
This Golden Retriever’s love for his owner runs so deep that he has determined to protect her at any cost.
And dad gets no exception.
Bailey is something of an internet sensation.
The adorable, giant, ever-pup has over 749,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.
There is a whole load of funny and cute videos of Bailey simply being the adorable pooch that he is as he grows up.
Bailey doesn’t let fame distract him.
When it comes to protecting his owner, he knows that this is a serious business.
One hilarious video starts with Bailey and his mom having a cuddle on the bed before they are interrupted by Bailey’s dad sitting down at the end of the bed.
You can tell that Bailey is in Guard Dog mode and he gives his dad a stern look to let him know that he’s here to protect his mom.
Bailey’s dad then slowly puts his hand on his wife’s foot.
Not so fast, buster.
Bailey is not having this.
He nibbles gently on his mom’s foot to let her know that he’s going to keep her safe.
He then gives a few warning barks at his dad, just in case dad hasn’t got the message.
Dad didn’t get the message.
A few more barks from the formidable Bailey should see to that.
Bailey sits on top of his mom to keep her safe and does his best to point his menacing stare at dad.
How do you think he did?
The couple then tries to hold hands, but Bailey isn’t having this either.
Dad could be a potential threat, so any kind of contact must be removed.
Bailey breaks his hold.
He stands up and butts his head through his owner’s arms, breaking them apart. Job well done.
He gives some more warning barks, just so that his owners know that he is going to make sure they don’t hold hands anymore.
Nothing sneaky can be done on Bailey’s watch.
This dog is strict with his parents.
Alas! Thankfully, this was all in good family fun. Bailey adores his sneaky, annoying dad to the moon and back and, after Bailey’s had his fun, he allows dad in for the sweetest huddle.
While this video is ridiculously adorable, what stands out the most is what a truly special dog Bailey really is.
We all know someone who could use a little Bailey in their lives.
