“My mom got us a really nice wind chime for Christmas and [Bleu] won’t touch it. She wants nothing to do with it. She just wants the wind chimes that she’s used to.”
We’ve heard of musically talented dogs, but we have to admit, we’ve never seen anything quite like this before.
Forget playing the piano or the drums, one adorable pooch has learned how to play none other than the wind chimes. (That comes under the woodwind category, for those of you who are also musically gifted.)
Not only can this pooch play the wind chimes, but she also sings along too! Talk about multi-talented.
Bleu is a four-month-old Golden Retriever who lives with her owner, Anna Brown.
One day, Anna was tidying up in the garden when she moved a hook that usually holds flowers into her backyard. Looking for a quick place to put them, she hung some wind chimes temporarily up on the hook and continued with her work.
She didn’t think anything of it until Bleu accidentally hit her head on the low-hanging object. It was then that her musical talents were revealed. Anna told The Dodo:
“When she was really, really little, like 4 months old, she walked outside and her head hit the wind chimes because they were down so low. We kinda freaked thinking that would be horrible for her ears — but she just started singing.”
The result is quite hilarious, and Bleu’s video has gone viral with 19.7 million views!
At first, we can’t be sure if Bleu is simply howling because she doesn’t like the noise of the wind chimes, but then we see her deliberately hit the chimes with her head so that they start making a noise again! Anna said:
“I don’t know if she loves the sound, or if she knows she can play it herself. It’s almost like she tries to keep in tune with it.”
Each time the noise from the chimes dies down, Bleu causes them to move again so that she can continue her singing. What a beautiful voice.
Anna found the whole thing so funny that she decided to leave the chimes hanging low in the garden so that Bleu could play them whenever she fancied — and that happened to be quite a lot!
Every day Bleu would go into the backyard and play her musical instrument whilst passionately singing along. Like us, Anna found the whole thing totally adorable. She told The Dodo:
“It’s the most precious thing when she looks at you and sings, hitting her head against the wind chimes.”
We don’t know about you, but we simply can’t get enough of these videos! But sadly, it doesn’t seem likely that Bleu will be moving onto any other instruments anytime soon.
In fact, she isn’t even interested in any other wind chimes! Anna said:
Well, you know what they say. When you have something good, why change it?
