Golden retrievers are known for having kind and loving personalities, which is why it’s not very surprising that they’re among the top breeds. But there’s one dog, in particular, who’s caught the internet’s attention because of her incredible sweetness.
The golden retriever featured in a recent video is melting viewers’ hearts.
Believe it or not, it’s a myth that cats and dogs can’t get along. Need proof? Just watch how amazing this beautiful pooch is with her mama cat buddy.
The cat gave birth to a litter of teeny kittens and is nursing them in a container. Almost like a four-legged angel on earth, the pooch stands over them and watches. She gently reaches her paw out to touch her friend, but instead then pulls it away.
It’s obvious the mama cat is comfortable with her canine friend being around her babies.
One scene shows the golden retriever lying on the floor resting while the kittens are right next to her. A little guy is even nuzzling her stomach, seeming like he wants to nurse!
As for the cat, she doesn’t seem bothered one bit having the dog act as a “babysitter.” She’s so comfortable in fact, she lays her head down to get some shut-eye.
Perhaps the golden retriever even enjoys being a backup mama.
She has a sweet look on her face as the tiny furballs stay gathered close to her. Aww! Not only is it an adorable sight, surely the cat doesn’t mind getting some “me time” either. One viewer wrote:

The mama cat seems to want to pay her buddy back for all her help.
One scene (that many viewers love) shows the cat kneading the dog’s fur with her paws. According to Live Science, the behavior is also sometimes referred to as “making biscuits” or “kneading dough.”
What makes the kneading extra-special in this clip is that it appears the cat’s giving the dog a massage! After all, who’s been taking care of the kittens while Mom’s been sneaking cat naps? Yep, this golden retriever! From what it seems, she’s liking having her own personal masseuse.
The cat’s not the only one who “rewards” the pooch for all of her kindness.
It’s not surprising that the owner also notices how beautiful-hearted his golden retriever is. So, for being such a good friend and nanny to the kittens, the dog is presented with a big plate of strawberries. What a good girl!
