‘Gold Digging’ Dog Pretends To Be A Stray To Scam McDonald’s Customers
Even though she definitely has a home - the show she puts on for a burger is quite adorable.

It’s hard to turn down an adorable hungry animal. Strays learn where to find food or at least people to feed them, and they often hang out around dumpsters and restaurants. Sometimes, people come to these places just to feed the animals, too.

Princess might look like another stray dog begging for a meal, but her owner wants everyone to know that she is scamming them.

Princess isn’t homeless or hungry; she’s just a glutton. She goes to the local McDonald’s in Oklahoma City every night to beg people to feed her. She chows down on burgers and fries and then heads home, where her bowl of kibble and warm dog bed are waiting for her.

When her owner caught her in the act and realized what she had been doing, she posted online to let people know that her dog was not a stray and that she was just a “gold digger.” Betsy Reyes posted:

“If you see my dog @ the McDonald’s on shields, quit feeding her fat (expletive) bc she don’t know how to act & be leaving the house all the time to go walking to McDonald’s at night. She’s not even a stray dog.”

and get the message out to the locals who might be feeding her.

She had no idea it would go viral. It has been shared more than 300,000 times and has over 25,000 comments.

A lot of people found Princess relatable. Some people tagged their friends and posted that if they were dogs, they would do the same thing. Princess is really just a genius who found a way to get what she wants.

Mary Helton said:

“Smart dog she knows how to get free cheeseburgers.”

Sergio Ramo said:

“LMFAO (expletive) got to do what they have to do.”

Veronica Reece said:

“I can relate to this doggo on a spiritual level.”

Not everyone thought the post was funny.

Some people felt that Reyes wasn’t doing what she should as a pet owner. If Princess had a collar or was put out in a yard with a fence, she wouldn’t be able to make her way to the restaurant. They feared that someone might take her or that she could get lost or even hit by a car.

Eli Angele commented:

“I mean this post is funny but…Maybe put a collar on her. And maybe stop letting her get out at night. It’s your fault she gets out, not hers. When she gets hit by a car you won’t think it’s so cute and funny anymore.”

Reyes isn’t worried about what the haters have to say, though.

She knows that she takes good care of Princess. Reyes insists that Princess just loves cheeseburgers and has found a way to trick people into getting them. To prove that Princess is a scammer, she posted a video that showed Reyes pulling up the McDonald’s and catching the dog in the act.

While Princess’s begging may be adorable, the people who feed her are not doing her any favors.

Pets have a hard time digesting fast food, and it can cause major health problems for them. They can suffer from diabetes and obesity because of overeating or eating unhealthy foods. This is another reason why Reyes wants people to stop feeding her dog.

Reyes might want to buy a collar and start putting Princess out on a tie-out at night instead of letting her run the neighborhood.

With her cute little face, people won’t be able to resist feeding her. Even though Reyes’ post has gone viral, there’s a good chance someone will see Princess and think she is just another stray who really needs a meal. Princess will do anything for a cheeseburger. She’s a naughty little pup with a fast food addiction.
