Survival experts will tell you that staying safe from a wild bobcat attack isn’t easy. When these powerful cats attack, full grown adults have to do everything they can to stay safe. So imagine how scary it can be to deal with a bobcat when you’re not even ten years old.

Seven Year-old Taylor Went to her Neighbor for company only to discover…

The video begins as Taylor arrives on a bike. She has a cute pink helmet on that should make things feel safe and fun. But it doesn’t take long to notice the nervous expression on the young seven-year-old girl.

She knocks on the door and porch video captures every moment as the scared child looks over her shoulder almost as if expecting trouble to come bursting through the porch opening you can see.

Taylor wants to get inside but…

Nicole, Taylor’s neighbor, answers the knocking and tells the girl that she’s on her way home and will arrive in just a few minutes. But this isn’t good enough for Taylor.

She howls about a bobcat in the yard and how scared she is for her life. You can hear the tension as Nicole pleads with Taylor to remain calm and to stay right where she is.

But Taylor’s panic gets the better of her.

As she looks over her shoulder, looking out for the bobcat to attack, she cries. She tells her neighbor how she wants her mommy and asks if there’s anyone home at all. But unfortunately for little Taylor, everyone is out of the house at the moment.

While the neighbors hurry on the way, Taylor’s friend starts to say…

While the neighbor drives, her daughter gets on the phone and talks with Taylor. The little girl asks Taylor to remain calm and keeps her company so she won’t panic.

Her voice and kind words help settle little Taylor. She’s still scared, but she knows that help is on the way and she will remain still and patient.

As the scene plays out, Taylor asks her neighbors if they can call her mom.

The neighbors promise that they will as soon as they get Taylor safely inside the house. Any parent will tell you that that’s the right call, since the first thing Taylor’s mother will want to know is if she’s safe and cared for.

What happened next?

We can only assume that Taylor was taken inside to safety and reunited with her mother shortly after. In wild animal situations like this, families are encouraged to call wild animal professionals to get rid of potentially dangerous creatures.

No matter what, we can only be glad that the neighbor’s home was outfitted with a camera voice system that let them talk to Taylor and keep her calm while they were on their way home. If Taylor lost control and panicked, it could have become a lot worst of a situation.
