If you’ve never heard of the Git Up Challenge. you need to check it out! It’s been a few years since it’s been out, but people still love to add to the collection of videos when they take up the challenge!

Smallzy, a radio show host, asked the creator of the Git Up Challenge how it even became a thing!
In this video he details it all:
The artist is named Blanco Brown and he decided that he wanted to create a country-hip-hop mix that pretty much anyone would enjoy listening to! Basically, he did what Old-Town Road did before it was cool.
Since his original music video came out, people have been making their own versions.
The song itself details how to do the dance (similar to the way the Cha-Cha slide does) and makes it incredibly simple for people to follow along. Pretty much all you need to film your own version is a camera of some type! The song has over 110 million views JUST on YouTube, if that gives you any idea of the popularity it has garnered!
One group of guys decided to make their own version, only they didn’t want to use humans as the dancers in it!

The Peterson Farm Bros have been making videos on YouTube for quite some time. Their specialty is taking popular videos and songs and creating their own parody of them with a farmer’s flair.
Instead of humans, they had cows doing all the dancing!

With a bit of fancy video editing, you can make it look like the cows are following along to the Git Up like real professionals!
“Greg you gotta come see what happens when we feed our cows!”
As the twangy music starts, we see a tractor pulling up and depositing a big bale of hay for the cows to eat. As promised, after they start eating they start “dancing”!
The video is edited to make it look like the cows are following perfectly along with the music!

Grab your sweetheart and spin out with ’em
Do the hoedown and get into it (whoo, whoo, whoo)
Take it to the left now and dip with it
Gon’ throw down, take a sip with it

As the different lyrics are sung, the cows follow along, sometimes swaying, other times dipping – it’s all pretty funny how well they edited it!
At one point, the cows are having so much fun that the humans just HAVE to join in.
It’s just one of those songs that’s so catchy and fun that humans and cows alike can’t seem to keep their feet still when it comes on. With a few more turns and dips, the cows perform the last of the song in time and finish the food that they love so much.
