Dog Looks Out Window, Sees Fox Playing With Favorite Toy
She got a little jealous - to say the least.

Adorable Lupe Johnson had a rough day recently – she was stuck inside while she peered out the window and had to see a fox romp around with her favorite toy, taunting her with his joy, all while mom filmed the entire thing. Of course, Lupe was not too happy about it – at all.

Lupe is a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix and, according to her family, is a very loving and sweet dog. However, she can be a bit on the jealous side – especially when it comes to things that are very near and dear to her.

Lupe also loves to play outside and has quite a few toys in the yard to keep her busy – but this day, they had a visitor.

The Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, aka Chiweenie, left one of her favorite balls out in the front yard and stared out the window, letting mom know that she wanted to go get it. But just as Lupe was let outside to grab her ball – another furry creature beat her to the punch. A fox.

Thankfully, this is when Lupe’s owner decided to break out the camera and start filming. What happened next is nothing short of adorable. The footage shows that the fox, technically in the Canidae family (dogs, foxes, jackals, and coyotes), also loves Lupe’s ball just as much as she does!

The wild fox happily jumps around and ‘throws’ the ball around having buckets of fun – despite Lupe’s barks and death stare coming from the front porch.

To say Lupe was annoyed at this point would be a serious understatement. She continues to watch from the front patio as the wild fox flips and flops around in total amusement and joy – with HER toy.

Of course, at this point, little Lupe could have decided that she’d confront the fox for taking and playing with her prized possession – but instead, she chooses to be a bit more passive aggressive about it and bark at it from the stoop.

Poor little Lupe looks on helplessly while the red fox seems to have the time of its life.

Although Lupe is clearly frustrated, it’s incredible to watch the beautiful wild fox have so much fun with a toy for domestic dogs. We’re not sure if the fox had ever encountered a toy before, but they clearly took to it like a household pet.

The fox rolls happily around in the grass, tossing the ball up in the air only to catch it and do it again. The fox seemed to be in a world of its own and couldn’t seem to care less about Lupe just a few a feet away.

After a few seconds of Lupe’s growling and barking, it almost seems like the fox is taunting the jealous Chiweenie.

After capturing the hilarious footage, of course, Lupe’s owner needed to share the amusing video online. Since uploaded, the video has been viewed over 6 million times and shared over 40,000 times.

People who have seen the one-of-a-kind footage have weighed in on Lupe’s predicament and as you can expect – there’s a clear divide of which side people are on. Lupes? Or the fox? Some people are certain that ‘flaunting’ others’ belongings is totally normal for a fox.

Regardless of what the fox’s true intentions were – to taunt the dog or just have a bit of fun – we couldn’t be happier that it was all caught on camera. If anything, the gorgeous red fox is showing us a side to the creature that we would have never seen before.

We feel bad that Lupe is a bit upset for not wanting to share, but we’re certain that she’ll get her toy back, and we love that the fox was able to let loose and be a ‘dog’ for a while.
