You’ll often find Finlandian nature photographer Ossi Saarinen “hanging out with my animal friends.” The 21-year-old loves to photograph all sorts of animals in the Finish wilderness, but the internet is freaking out over his bird photos.
They’ve been dubbed the “real-life versions of Angry Birds.”
You know, like that video game featuring mad cartoon birds that people were obsessed with not too long ago. The expressions on these beautiful birds faces look kind of pissed off. That or they have frowny faces, which is both adorable and hilarious. And the internet is going crazy over them along with Ossi’s witty captions.
“My hairstyle will be a trend,” says one caption of a photo of a spikey-headed girl.
“Hey! That peanut was meant for me,” says another of a bird getting his snack stolen.
His photos showcase a variety of wild birds like the blue tit and long-tailed tit in their natural habitat. Ossi is able to catch such amazing shots because he hangs out in nature all the time. Regardless of the weather, even when it’s -20 Celsius degree or more he just sits quietly until they come so he can capture them through his lens. He often lures them with a tasty snack. He captures the funniest expressions on the faces of foxes, ducks, mice, otters, squirrels, raccoon, dogs and other cute animals. Sometimes he even gets these furry and feathered creatures to eat right out of his hand. The connection he has with these animals is truly amazing. But it’s his “Angry Birds” series that people are really relating to.
