Thanks to the kindness of an animal loving family, Koho the cat ended up with a large loving family instead of being on her own.

Koho had been abandoned and was found at a gas station by a father and his daughter.

“We rescued a stray kitten today while getting fuel in a small town gas station along a highway in Minnesota. The local people handed a kitten to my daughter,” the father wrote in the caption of one of the videos they posted about the cat’s rescue. “We were at a gas station and these people have just picked up a kitten that had been hanging around the gas station for the last two days.”

A woman in the video can be heard saying that she had seen the cat the day before walking back and forth and meowing. They assumed that someone jumped off of the highway and dumped the cat off.

The daughter was holding little Koho and observed that the tiny kitten had discharge coming from his eyes and nose, which she referred to as “snot.

“You can hear them tell about what they found and you can see my daughter checking the lungs of the kitten trying to listen to his respirations,” the father wrote. “My daughter is a paramedic and we are going to take care of this kitten. He is obviously sick with some sort of upper respiratory infection and ear mites.”

They asked the others at the gas station where the closest vet was and decided to bring Koho there to get better.

“I don’t even know if we’re going to keep the cat,” the dad said in the car ride to the vet.

It didn’t take long, however, for him to change his tune. The cute little kitty hopped right up on his shoulder which made the dad giggle in the most beautiful way.

“When he crawled on me, does that mean the cat was telling me he’s adopting us?” the dad asked. “Oh yep, that’s what he’s telling me.”

So, it was decided right then in there, Koho had a new family.

The veterinarian told them that Koho was underweight and that you could feel his ribs. That’s when Koho’s treatment began.

“It’s gonna be expensive but I couldn’t walk away from this situation,” Koho’s human dad said.

The day finally came when Koho was healthy enough to come home with the family.

“Today is the day Koho stays at the lake for good, he graduates,” said his dad. “All the results came back as Koho is a healthy kitty.”

Not only did Koho have a brand new human family but he had a whole slew of pet brothers and sisters including a cat name Mason and three dogs named Lilly, Rolo, and Sadie.

Honestly, we’re not sure who’s more excited about Koho’s arrival, Koho or her furry siblings!
