Some people just don’t respect animals. They think that they can do whatever they want to them and that the animals won’t do anything back. A Turkish televangelist was recently filmed aggravating a kangaroo. He is filmed throwing punches at the animal while it is unable to reach him in a cage.
He seems to be provoking it, trying to get it to fight back. Kangaroos are very strong and can be aggressive.
They often box and even kick each other and other animals that threaten them. A grown kangaroo could easily harm a grown man. Luckily for Tuncer Ciftci, the kangaroo doesn’t seem to want to fight back.
Still, why would someone who claims to be a prophet and so close to God want to be so mean to an animal?
That’s what a lot of people want to know. The video was meant to be funny, but nobody is laughing except Tuncer and the person behind the camera. Many people are even wishing the kangaroo would have given Tuncer a couple whacks to make him stop.
At one point, the man even grabs the fence and tries to headbutt the kangaroo.
Luckily, the kangaroo is able to dodge every punch, slap, and headbutt. It eventually gets away from him. Tuncer still thinks he is being hilarious by picking on the caged animal.
The televangelist says that he is the Mahdi, a figure who some Muslims think will redeem Islam before the Day of Judgment. He has a big fan following, but some people are starting to catch on to the fact that he is a little extreme.
Before the kangaroo video surfaced, he was making headlines because he was asking his followers to dive into a waterfall to show him how much they loved him.
Some agreed to do it, and others didn’t. When the video of the kangaroo surfaced, people were even more enraged with him.
A lot of people made negative comments on the video. One viewer, Onur Ugur, said, “I congratulate Mr. Kangaroo for its restraint against such an abusive animal.”
Yunus Karakoc said, “The fact that the kangaroo looks smarter is causing me to question humanity.”
A third viewer, Can Gurses, said, “It seems the kangaroo was initially appalled. Then it decided the man was just a lunatic, so it didn’t hit back.”
While Tuncer hasn’t released a statement about the video, it’s pretty clear that he isn’t a bit ashamed of his actions.
He is laughing in the video and seems to be encouraging the person videotaping him.
Many people are hoping the authorities see the video and press charges, but so far, there haven’t been any charges made against the man.
The kangaroo is safe and unharmed, which is the most important thing. Hopefully, the zoo at least decides to take action and prevent him from coming back.

After birth, the joey crawls into its mother’s pouch, where it will nurse and continue to grow and develop. Red kangaroo joeys do not leave the pouch for good until they are more than eight months old. Gray kangaroo joeys wait until they are almost a year old.”
They can be aggressive and have been known to attack humans if provoked. Too bad this one wasn’t feeling it this time. This guy seems like he needs a good punch.
