A sneeze is just one of those things that we all have to live with. For those of us who live in the southern states, allergy season means runny noses and crying eyes for the months to come!
Strangely enough, humans might not be the only animals with allergies!
While humans may complain about them the most, many other animals have allergies, just like us! Sneezing, scratching, and itching can even happen to our pets. Many dog and cat owners know this already, however. Allergy medicine is a pretty standard prescription for most vets to give out.
Let’s be honest though…
Like it or not, watching our pets sneeze is sometimes just plain funny! Even if we don’t mean to laugh, there is something hilarious about your beloved dog sneezing and jumping up in the air out of surprise. They rarely seem to know that they are going to sneeze in the first place.
One little elephant learned what sneezing was the hard way.
Still think I’m cruel for laughing when my dog sneezes? Well, 20 million people have watched this baby elephant sneeze and seem to love it! The video is hilarious and deserves at least 2-3 watches.

Unbeknownst to this little elephant, he is about to get rocked by a sneeze! Thankfully, someone happened to be nearby when it happened. It was most likely a safari tour, and there were some tourists in the car hoping to get some cute videos of these gentle giants.
Keep your eye on the little one closes to the camera!
To catch the sneeze, keep your eye on the baby elephant closest to his mother. These African elephants are moving in pretty common form; mom is leading and the two babies are following her lead. Things get funny when one of the little ones comes to check out the cameraman, however.
For some reason, the little elephant decides to walk a bit too close to the camera.
When he does, he pauses for a second to try and see what he is looking at. From the elephant’s perspective, a bunch of humans in a car is probably a strange sight!
Right when the baby finally gets a good look, the sneeze hits.
Almost like he got a little bit of sand in his trunk (they are in a desert, ya know), the elephant sneezes and jumps up into the air! He’s scared himself so bad that he immediately runs to the comfort of his mom, hoping he can help with whatever it was that just happened to him.
Who knows if elephants have allergies!
I don’t know if elephants have allergies, but I do know it probably takes quite the sneeze to clear a full trunk! This little guy has a lifetime of sneezing ahead of him, and it can probably be attributed to the super long nose he has. The longer the nose, the harder the sneeze, right?
