We love our pets. Usually, our pets love us as well. But what happens when that love isn’t returned? It would make us feel pretty bad, wouldn’t it?
One woman feels a bit of that pain every day when her husband leaves to drop their son off to school in the morning.
In a video posted on YouTube, a family claims that their dog waits by the door for her father to come back home. The caption reads, “I thought she would be fine for there is mommy in the house but I guess she like daddy more than her mommy! (I wish).”
Normally, it would be the perfect time to “hog” their dog, Wooyoo, and get all the attention from her that she would want. But for this wife, it’s quite the opposite. Instead, Wooyoo waits by the door until her father returns.
Poor mama.
Wooyoo even whines as she waits. She paces the floor back and forth whining until her father comes back to her. All while, her mama is right there, in the same room filming it all.
The video isn’t in English but there are English subtitles for viewers to comprehend their interaction. At one point Wooyoo approaches her mother. Of course, the woman becomes excited. The caption reads, “So… you DO love me after all?”
However, Wooyoo continues to whine. She might love her mama but her dada has a special place in her heart. Not long after, Wooyoo goes back to the door and lies in front of it. Simply, waiting and whining.
To make things a bit more extreme, the video is accompanied by a sad and melancholic piano, making things even harder to watch.
But the heartwrenching scenes don’t end there. The woman invites Wooyoo upstairs with her to lay down for a nap. Just when you think she’s going to go, she looks back at the door, staring longingly at it as mama heads up the stairs.
Wooyoo watches the woman ascend the stairs before she decides that it’s not worth it.
“Fine, Wooyoo. I’m leaving,” her mama says.
Still, she doesn’t budge.
Just when you think you couldn’t feel any worse for the mom.
Despite being called, Wooyoo continues staring at the door. Eventually, she goes back to it to wait.
But suddenly, she hears something outside.
Could it be?
She stands up and the camera zooms in. But unfortunately, it’s not who she thinks. However, she now decides to wait on all fours as opposed to lying down.
Wooyoo has to wait a little longer but eventually, she hears something again. This time, it is her father! As soon as he opens the door, her tail wags excitedly from side-to-side.
Really, you can sense the excitement. The angst was killing me!
He puts out his hand to touch her. Of course, she goes wild. She paces back and forth as if not knowing where to go next. Perhaps, unbeknownst to viewers, they have another dog who appears! There was another in the house the entire time. Thus, Wooyoo had more than one option to keep her company.
But clearly, only one has her father’s heart.
We’re sure Wooyoo loves her mama all the same. Does she react the same way when she leaves? Only time will tell.
