When you’re brainstorming ideas to help your baby fall asleep, a snoring dog is probably the last thing on your mind. Babies are known to drift off to lullabies, white noise, or even the sound of your vacuum cleaner, but if your little one is still wide awake despite all your best efforts, then it may be time to bring in an expert: the dog.

We stumbled across this adorable video of a baby and his best friend cuddled up in bed together, and it’s the most adorable thing we’ve seen today! Who knew a dog’s snoring could act as a lullaby?

The adorable video was shared on Rumble and became an instant viral sensation, with over 658,000 plays. In the short clip, we can see a tiny baby sleeping peacefully with his head resting against his Mastiff hound brother. But what’s so unusual about the video is that whilst baby and dog are peacefully asleep, there’s a loud, rumbling sound in the room – and it’s coming from the Mastiff!

The zonked-out dog is snoring so loudly that we’d be able to hear him from the other side of the room, so we can’t imagine how loud it sounds to the sweet little boy – as the hound’s nose is pointing directly at his ear!

Hilariously, when the camera pans backward, we can actually see another dog asleep in the background too. Who knew that the sound of this dog’s snoring could be so relaxing?

Amazingly, it turns out that dogs can actually help us fall asleep, and there are studies to prove it. In particular, children with autism who normally struggle to sleep found it a great comfort to have a furry friend around them in the night times. There are now special assistance dogs for actually helping your little one to sleep!

In the video below, you can see just how cozy the little boy is as he relaxes next to his doggie brother. We can imagine that this will be such a special memory to look back on in later years.

What’s more, dogs aren’t the only animal who cause babies to become sleepy.

In this next video, we can see a loving cat helping to put a fussing baby to sleep. The little baby is wriggling around and making noises of frustration as he tries to get comfortable, but he doesn’t calm down until the cat gives him some motherly love.

In the sweetest moment, the cat lays a paw onto the baby’s head and gazes down at him with affection. Every time the baby wriggles, she places her paw back on his head and within minutes he’s stopped fussing and has quietened down. The cat then looks up at the camera as if to say, “being a mom is exhausting.” It’s amazing what the touch of an animal can do!

We think that these videos just go to show how amazing the bond can be between an animal and a baby. How truly adorable.
