Dogs love attention. It’s just a fact of life. And luckily, we humans are more than happy to give them that attention they’re looking for in the form of belly rubs and walks.
But sometimes, though, a person has to spend some time away from their dog and tend to their other responsibilities.
Dogs will often be confused or downright unhappy about this turn of events. And they aren’t afraid to show their displeasure.
When one dog’s dad wasn’t paying him quite enough attention, the funny pup devised a brilliant way to make sure all eyes were on him.
The little attention seeker took an empty roll of toilet paper and lodged it in his mouth – and as soon as he realized that it was the perfect megaphone, he began howling proudly with his new instrument.
The hilarious moment was caught on camera, and we just knew that we’d have to share it with you.
The video of the dog’s new use for toilet roll was shared onto Facebook by America’s Funniest Home Videos, and since being posted it has received over 670k views from people all over the world.
As the comical pooch wanders around making a low growling sound, his dad tries to capture the object in his dog’s mouth, saying, “Let me see your mouth. What do you got in there?”
Eventually, the man manages to get a good angle, and we’re able to see the toilet paper wedged firmly in the dog’s mouth. The dog seems to be really proud of himself, and his tail wags as he trots around the house with his new musical instrument.
The video then cuts to the next scene, and here the dog has managed to turn the tube so that he has one end in his mouth, while the other sticks out. We’re pretty curious to hear what his growling sounds like now, and our questions are answered, as his dad asks, “can you speak?”
In response, the dog lets out another long, deep growl, which sounds pretty peculiar when coming through the tube, and causes the dad to comment, “You sound like a cow!”
Thanks to the toilet paper roll, the growl does indeed sound more like the mooing of a cow, and this dog now believes that he has his very own megaphone.
