The fire was said to have spread within minutes.

Daisy survived, but she was overcome with grief from the tragic event. Jacque Barnett saw that she was noticeably affected by the fire.

“When I went out there the day of the fire she was really distraught. She wasn’t herself. Usually, she greets you, but now she was hiding her tail – her whole demeanor had changed. ” said Barnett.

She knew she had to help Daisy heal from the event in any way she could. So, she went on Facebook to see if there were any puppies in the area that, for one reason or another, might have needed a mom. Much to her surprise, she found a suitable litter of border collie pups rather quickly.

“It kind of made sense to go with the litter of puppies that were orphaned. It was like it was meant to be. It was so crazy.” said Barnett

The litter of adorable puppies quickly made their way into her heart and they attached to her immediately. Now, Daisy is full of love and light; back to her happy self.
