Kyle Krier and his wife, Laura, of Concordia, Kansas, were understandably distraught when their black lab, Bo, snuck off one cold January day after he was let outdoors to take a potty break.

There’s a lot of trouble to get into out in the wilderness. And from the looks of it, Bo got into all of it – and with glee!

Finding Bo

“We had been searching for him nonstop,” Laura Krier told The Dodo. Then they got a call that a dog matching his description was found 6 miles away the very next day.

Sounds like Bo had some energy to work off!

Kyle Krier jumped into his pickup truck immediately after getting the call to see if he could find the dog. And find him he did – he just got a little something extra he hadn’t bargained for.

Making friends

Bo is known for being a friendly dog, and apparently, that extends to other species as well.

When Krier finally found the dog, he was frolicking in a field with some other animals.

That’s when he got out his camera and started recording.

“My black Lab runs off last night, he’s gone all night, and look who I find him with,” he says in the video showing Bo’s return, which quickly acquired more than 10 million views on Facebook.

Two tiny specks appear in the background, trailing behind Bo. Krier recognizes one as a dog before pointing out there’s also “a goat in tow.”

The three amigos

The dog and goat are Ozzy and Libby, and they belong to the Kriers’ neighbors, Chris and Shawna Huggans.

Apparently, once they saw Bo, Ozzy and Libby were down for some breakout action of their own. The three were found galavanting together, just living their best lives out in a field.

As they approach, Krier can be heard saying in the video:

“Hey, goat! You want to get in my truck, too?” to the goat as it approaches his truck with the other dogs. “Come on, hop in there! Everybody just get in.”

And they do!

No one knows what happened out there, but everyone sure was happy to get their animals back!

“It’s difficult to say if Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy were the culprit in starting the adventure. But, nonetheless, they escaped,” Shawna Huggans told The Dodo. “They’re pals for sure.”

After the story went viral, in part thanks to The Dodo, Laura Krier posted the following on Facebook:

“Just like that a story is published about our black lab the white lab and the goat! ❤️ This! My husband didn’t expect this to be such a funny or big deal but I guess it is😂😍…and it is with a happy ending!! Thank you again Rachel and thank you everyone for all the views it sure did make some people giggle.”

She added this photo the day he was found after he started sleeping off his adventure:

It sure did make us laugh to see that goat pulling up the rear.
