Dogs are simple creatures – as long as you give them plenty of cuddles, food, and walks, they’re guaranteed to be happy. Dinner time is a particularly exciting time for a dog, and their enthusiasm when you first present them with their full bowl of food is always so adorable to see.
For one hungry pup, dinner time became a perfect opportunity to show off a new trick, and he looked so cute that his owner recorded a compilation of the pup’s special trick each time he was given his tasty treat. We just knew that we’d have to share the adorable video with you so that it brightens your day like it did ours.

Kibo the Shiba Inu loves dinner time so much that he’s created his own little trick that he does when he’s excited. Each time he hears the noise of the food being poured into his bowl, Kibo does the most adorable little hop in anticipation.
The dog’s owner, Jon Sun, posted the sweet compilation onto YouTube, and the video soon racked up over five million views and 11k likes. The video was captioned:
“My 4 month old Shiba Inu Kibo has a minor freakout every time I feed him. Kibo is smart and learns very quickly. If you have an idea for a trick you would like me to teach him, leave a comment below.”
People simply couldn’t get enough of the smart pup’s adorable reaction to mealtime.
First, Jon asks Kibo to sit as he prepares the food. But as he pours the delicious treat into the bowl, Kibo’s immediate reaction is to spring up off his back legs and do an excited little leap. This happens each day that the pooch is fed, and his reactions get more and more excitable as time goes on. He is clearly overjoyed at the thought of being minutes away from being able to eat his tasty food.
We could honestly watch Kibo being fed all day – his excitement is just so adorable to see!
