Rocky the German Shepherd loves his best friends.

And his best friends are kittens.

These three kittens are not the first felines to interact with Rocky. Rocky has interacted with numerous kittens and adult cats through the years.

He’s had many dealings with different yet always precious kittens and cats.

3 Kittens have invaded Rocky’s bed.

There is a fourth kitten wandering outside the bed, ready to test its legs and explore its surroundings.

The other three kittens are very comfortable lounging on Rocky’s very fluffy and warm cushion.

The large German Shepherd investigates and appears shocked to find “intruders” on his bed.

He sniffs the kittens to gather more intel. Are they friends or foes? Will they take over the home or are they just looking for a comfortable spot to lounge?

Whatever their intention, they are fearless.

Maybe because they’re kittens still exploring, but they were more curious about Rocky than scared.

They raised their paws to touch Rocky and hopefully get to know him more.

Who is this big brown animal? He doesn’t look like a cat but is he one?

Rocky tried to roll them over but the kittens just sprawled out on the bed, stretching their backs.

What’s Rocky’s next move?

Ah, maybe he should use his size to dominate the kittens and make them do what he says.

His bed was beside the couch so he hopped onto the couch and stared the kittens down. However, it had the opposite effect.

Instead of getting scared, they just stared at Rocky.

Eventually, they rolled over to their backs again on the fluffy bed, almost taunting its owner.

Pretty soon, all four kittens were now on the bed. They’ve taken over.

Maybe he needs to take matters into his own hands and remove them from the bed.

Rocky strategizes.

He got down from the couch to nudge the kittens off his bed.

Rocky is tired and ready to just lounge on his own bed, which he can’t do because of the “invaders.”

Rocky is a great big brother. He knew the kittens were still little and needed gentle handling so he was very gentle with his movements.

His strategy backfires.

He tried to push them off but he can’t because the kittens thought he was playing with them.

They kept reaching out their tiny paws to touch him and play with him.

Pretty soon, the kittens were on their paws, waiting to be played with by Rocky.

Will Rocky see success?

The people who watched this video loved the interaction between Rocky and the kittens.

“I like how the kittens aren’t even afraid of this giant creature, and are reaching out and batting at his nose and wanting to play,” David Barickman noticed.

Rocky realizes it’s time to concede.

It looks like Rocky knows when he’s been beaten.

Since he couldn’t get some solo time on his bed, he just went the big brother route and took care of them. Soon, he was just sniffing, nipping, and playing with the kittens.

“What a well behaved dog. He even watches where he puts his paws so he doesn’t step on any of the kittens,” Matthew Davies added.
