Just like how babies need help learning how to talk, sometimes animals need a nudge in the right direction themselves. And just like babies, puppies are experiencing lots of new things all in one go, and sometimes it can get a little overwhelming. With that in mind, there can be no harm in helping a puppy out when it comes to learning new things.
One owner found the perfect way to teach his puppy how to howl – by howling along with him! The man filmed the sweetest video of him teaching his pup how to howl, and shared the adorable video for us all to see over on his YouTube channel.
What’s more, three years later, the super-cute duo decided to recreate the original video – and it’s giving us all the feels.
The sweet video, titled, “Beagle puppy learning to howl,” was shared onto YouTube by Mikael Cramer back in 2014. Unsurprisingly, over time it has become a viral sensation and now has over 6.4 million views. The video’s caption explains that Moose the beagle pup is only 8 weeks old, but he is already the “cutest little howler.”
In the video, Mikael can be seen lying on the floor with Moose in his arms. He begins to howl at Moose, who at first seems a little confused. But then hilariously, a second later, Moose begins to join in with the howling.
His own little howls are high pitched and tiny, but we can certainly see just how much of an effort he’s making!
People took to the comments to share their love for the video, with one person saying:
“He seemed like he was like ‘oh you want me to do that too?’ And then became really happy because he made you proud omg so adorable.”
Another added:
“He’s going to regret that when the puppy is howling in the middle of the night, and he is trying to sleep. 🤣”
A final person said:
“Now that happened. Too damn cute! You’re going to look back on this years from now and love will happen all over again for Moose.”
And that’s exactly what happened!
Mikael shared an important pupdate in his caption, saying, “Moose is 4 years old now and he only howls when he watches this video (:” And there’s a video for proof!
In a video titled, “Beagle puppy learning to howl – 3 years later,” Mikael and Moose are back again in the exact same spot- except this time Moose is a fully grown adult! In the video, you can hear Mikael’s initial video playing in the background.
Moose’s ears prick up as he listens to a younger him, and before you know it, he’s howling again! What makes it all the more special is that he only ever howls when he hears the younger version of himself howling. How sweet.
We’re so glad that Mikael posted an updated video showing what a handsome young man Moose has grown to be. We bet this pair have bonded for life. Watch the adorable update video below.
