Puppies are abandoned every day and they are left living their lives fending for themselves and without a place that they could call home. However, this story of this particular dog that was abandoned may just melt your hearts.
A little boy was seen running away after leaving a box in front of a school building.
The common reason why people abandon pets is that they do not have the necessary means to provide for them, and it would only get harder for both the family and the pet if they forced themselves to keep it. This is the same with this little boy who put a puppy in the box and left it in front of the school’s door, hoping for someone to come and adopt him. To his luck, a janitor was there cleaning the school building.
The janitor heard a knock at the door, and when he came and opened it, he saw a little boy running away. He thought it was just a cheap prank but not until his eyes caught a glimpse on the ground. The janitor took the box inside with him to see what was inside.
To the janitor’s surprise, it was a little puppy along with a handwritten note. It said:
“Sorry it didn’t have a home and it was cold so we were going to give it to you. Please do let it go find a nice home.”
He was really astonished as he saw the black puppy staring back at him. As he looked inside the box once more, he found a folded piece of paper, and as he opened it, he found out that it was a handwritten letter from the boy who left the pup. The letter contained a polite message asking the person who finds it to help him search for a good home for the pup. It was clear that the boy did not want it to fall into the wrong hands nor leave the poor puppy on the streets on its own.
The janitor found someone who could take care of the poor pup.
The janitor knew a female faculty member who was known as a dog lover and he proceeded to contact her and tell her about the puppy he found. The teacher happily accepted and took the puppy to her home as soon as possible, but she could only take her in temporarily as she searched for a more suitable home for the pup. She named the puppy Snowflake, and the puppy happily resided in her care for a short while.
The teacher contacted a local shelter for Snowflake.
She was able to contact Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue and have them take Snowflake in. They tried to contact the boy who left the puppy but had no luck. Although, the one thing they knew was the boy wished for the puppy to have a better life. The puppy was given the proper care and he even received the necessary vaccinations to keep him in good health. The teacher knew that the shelter would be able to take care of him until they find him a good home and so she happily left her in their care.
It is nice that this pup’s story came to a happy end.
Snowflake ended up with her new foster family and she is spending the holidays inside a warm and cozy home, outside of the box that she was put into.
