If there’s one thing a person must know about Weimaraners, it is this.
They love attention. They really love attention.
Weimaraners have high energy levels and are very friendly and affectionate. That’s why they blend well with families with young children.

Did you know they love to give standing hugs as well?
Weimaraners are not meant for city living or to be caged. They need to run and they need regular exercise and play. They cannot be caged because they get upset without regular contact.
So when this human Dad decided to play a joke on Gus and Gus was not happy.

Gus stood up to lean on his dad’s leg, who pretended to ignore him while he shifted his attention to his laptop. Gus was not liking it one bit.
“My Weimaraner is so needy, she can’t be left alone for 20 seconds without being pet,” Devonte Willis agreed.

He kept looking toward his mom behind the camera with his big, round eyes as if to say, ‘Help me, Mommy.’
“He said I know you see me standing here,” TE And commented.
His dad would pretend to look away but would sneak glances at Gus to see his reaction. But the damage has been done.

Gus is already hurt.
He tried to get back at his dad and placed a paw on his dad’s shoulder then took it off when he looked! Is Gus really hurt? Or was he doing this purposely to get the attention he wants?
“Love how the dog looks at the camera at first, as if he’s acting in AND directing this film,” Bill Olsen said.

Whatever plans Gus had, though, was not working. He had one more plan. Gus needed to bark and whimper.
“My [weimaraner] was the same way she wanted her attention and would yell and paw at me for it. Nothing can replace that bond,” Anya Schultz recalled.
“The dog is training his human… That’s all this is,” happy one 2017 said.

Has Gus outsmarted his parents?

Gus has walked away. Mom’s attention is better anyway.
“I love the dogs stare how he talks with his eyes and those flappy ears are adorable,” Cherry Blakewell gushed.
Gus circled the kitchen to get his mom’s attention, which is now just on him.

Most of the people who watched the video have had lots of experiences with Weiramaners.
“I remember my Weimaraner she was just like that, they always have a serious look,” Yael Webber shared.“Intelligent, loving, protective, stubborn, fabulous. Weimaraners are the most wonderful dogs if you have the energy, time, and patience to own one you will never want another,” Snr domino said.
