The kindness of children is always a reminder that there is still good in the world! No matter the circumstances across our planet, we can always rest easy knowing that a kid’s innocence is a beautiful (and sometimes hilarious) thing. One little girl proved this point perfectly!
What kid hasn’t come home with a random animal?
Almost every parent has experience with kids bringing home things that don’t belong. For the parents of adventurous young boys, it’s often strange and gross things that enter the house that should have never crossed the threshold. Whether it’s bugs, frogs, or just a jar of mud, the world is the oyster for a little boy.
For little girls, they are usually a bit more creative.
Little girls still bring things home with them! It is often a creative project that is made out of strange things found in nature. A tiara made out of dandelions, perhaps? Well, one girl in China did more than just take something she found home — she took it to school!
A four-year-old girl was found with something interesting in her school backpack.
One little girl in Sichuan, China, found something a bit bigger than a bug! While on her way to school, she found an abandoned and stray puppy on the road! Since it was close to where she went to kindergarten, she decided that she wanted to put it in her backpack because it needed help. Out of the kindness of this little girl’s heart, she simply wanted to help a needy dog.
Getting to school, she was soon found out!
Even though the little four-year-old had taken all the precautions that she felt she needed, she was still found out! Little kids are never good at hiding their wild adventures and projects, are they? Once the school found out that the girl had a puppy in her bag, she became hysterical.
When the school talked to the girl, she was a wreck.
After some time spent with the little pup, it seemed that the girl had grown attached! When she saw the dog in need, she wanted to help it, no matter the cost. Once the school asked her about him, she probably thought they were going to try and take it from her. Once she realized this, she started crying hysterically! She really did care for the little dog.
She even tried to convince everyone that it was a nice dog.
When she felt like her back was against the wall and she was going to lose her puppy, she was sure to tell everyone that the dog wouldn’t hurt anyone! She was truly afraid of abandoning this little dog to anyone else that might not have the intentions she did.
“It won’t hurt people.”
In a little yellow backpack, fast asleep, nobody thought it would.
They all knew that this little girl loved this dog. Watching her cry and become upset at the thought of losing the creature she wanted to help is a good reminder to us on caring for the creatures who need it.
The story has a wonderful ending to it.
After the school talked to the girl, they called her parents. Thankfully, the parents didn’t take the dog away! They allowed the little girl to keep it and it is now a part of the family! Some dreams do come true.
