There are many things that you can prepare for if you’re planning to be a dog mom or dad.
There are hundreds of books on the best diets for certain dog breeds, how much exercise your dog needs, how to groom our dog, and so on.
But it’s only when you actually become a dog owner that you realize how crazy they can be!
Brian Kluth, for instance, probably never set out to adopt a pup that was obsessed with showers – but that’s exactly what he got.
That’s right: Brian’s corgi loves showers. As in, the appliances in our homes that we only really think about when we need to get clean.
Interestingly, corgis aren’t actually built for water-based activities.
Usually, dogs that are “designed” for water, such as spaniels and several retriever breeds, are the ones that naturally love water.
Dogs that aren’t “meant” for water tend to shy away from it. It’s an evolutionary thing – dogs that can’t swim naturally see water as a danger.
But this hilarious corgi must have missed the memo, because it couldn’t be clearer that she loves water.
Luckily, showers are hardly a major cause for concern – the worst they can do is get too hot!
In a viral YouTube video, Brian compiled a few clips of his corgi’s shower-loving antics, writing in the caption:
“Our dog, Misty, loves jumping into showers anywhere, any time, at any one’s house. Just say the word, “SHOWER” and watch her take off like a flash to jump in the bathtub or shower. These videos were shot in 3 different houses. She is the funniest, craziest, neurotic corgi that just loves SHOWERS ever since she was a puppy. She loves to drink out of the tap, she loves to actually get soaked by the shower head, and getting shampooed (not shown).”
“Misty” couldn’t be a better name for a dog that loves showers – it was meant to be!
In the video, Brian films himself in different homes with Misty. The moment he shouts, “Shower!” his little dog goes crazy, turning into a whirlwind ball of fluff as she pelts into the bathroom and hops around beneath the shower.
In some videos, the water isn’t even turned on, but the prospect of a shower is just too exciting for Misty.
Other times, when the water is switched on, Misty gets even more excited and does that adorable dog thing of trying to “eat” the water.
We’ve seen dogs have this reaction to “walkies”, but most of them are less than enthusiastic to have a shower.
Brian should definitely count himself lucky that his pup is such a warm water lover. Many dog owners know the struggle of trying to get their pups to sit still while they’re washing them.
In Brian’s case, Misty willingly races to the bathroom, even sometimes opening the shower screen door or diving through a shower curtain in her haste to have a splash around.

Sadly, Brian’s only videos of Misty are of her getting excited for shower time, and it doesn’t appear that she has a social media presence beyond her viral video that has 1.9 million views.
