If any of you are rock fans, I’m sure you’ve heard of some songs that are real headbangers.
It’s a kind of song where all the parts of the band – drums, bass, singer, guitar, etc. – are playing with a great unified sound where you just can’t help but move your head along to the beat – or thrash your head around, as seen in this glorious compilation below:
Well, for one cockatiel bird in Japan, it doesn’t take all the parts of a band to make his head bang. To get him going, it just takes a good drum beat.
As his owner begins gently tapping on a toy drum, the cockatiel is intrigued by the sound. But based on what happens next, this adorable yellow cockatiel was not meant to be just a spectator in the crowd.
When his owner starts drumming, this cockatiel gets in on the action by drumming with him – using its own head.
I don’t know about you, but that looks pretty metal to me. That bird is drumming so fast, his movements are just a blur. That’s a sign of a true rocker.
This wasn’t just a one-time occurrence either. The owner was able to capture another moment where the cockatiel joins in on an impromptu jam session.
And based on the bird’s sweet smile, he loves jamming out!
The video has earned over 75,000 views as many viewers loved watching the bird’s mad drumming skills:
And the bird’s popularity doesn’t stop there. He has his own Twitter with over 20,000 followers, and according to the owner, he is a Japanese internet sensation.
When you watch the video, you’ll easily see why.
