Brian Waldrop, a member of the Stream Team, shared the emotional moment of discovery, explaining how they initially mistook the puppy for a carcass.
To their astonishment, the supposed trash bag carcass moved, revealing a living, albeit dirty, white puppy.
The incident, as described by Brian, was not only surprising but also heartwarming, leading to an instant bond between the rescuer and the animal.
The puppy, initially hidden within a pile of garbage and ensnared in a black trash bag, had an unexpected transformation.
Initially yellowed from filth, he revealed a pristine white coat after a much-needed bath, showing the neglect he had endured yet miraculously survived.
“He was found in a black trash bag in a pile of trash. His first name could have been Hefty, you know,” Brian told Fox 2 St. Louis.

The Stream Team, accustomed to collecting trash, was unprepared for the living treasure they would find among the refuse.
