When this farmer whistles, he brings all the chicks running… literally!
At first, after hearing the shrill whistle and seeing what happens next, you might be thinking to yourself, “It’s a bird! It’s a plane!” But soon, you realize it is actually a bird – a flock of birds gathering together for a reason we can all relate to: food!
In a hilarious video captured on August 14 of this year, hundreds of chickens in Tongren Prefecture, Guizhou Province flock together to get fed from their beloved owner.
And when I say hundreds of chickens, I really mean hundreds of chickens.
They come in from everywhere, from all directions! They round the corner of the road, they scramble over the hill, and they even fly in and land gracefully before scurrying over to their tasty meal. For chickens, they fly pretty well when they’re hungry!
The humorous video is reminiscent to Alfred Hitchccock’s famous film The Birds when you see all the chickens gather together, but it’s all in good fun.
In fact, this video is almost a parody to the original film given how funny it looks to see all the chickens come together and stomp their little feet on the ground as they approach their food.
If I were personified as an animal, I think I would be a chicken, purely based on this footage featuring their strict attention when it comes to getting fed.
They literally drop whatever they are doing when they hear the whistle for feeding time, and that’s something I respect – and definitely relate to.
