Meet Tigger: a hilarious cat who isn’t afraid to throw a temper tantrum to get what he wants!
Tigger’s mom, Faith Linderman, found him in 2008. He had been living as a stray, and Faith found him huddling under a truck in a parking lot near where she worked. Faith quickly fell in love with the sweet cat and decided to bring him home.
While Tigger loves Faith, he shares a truly incredible bond with Faith’s dad.
Tigger loves cuddling with Faith’s dad more than anything in the world.
Soon after Tigger arrived at Faith’s house, he and Faith’s dad established a morning routine. Faith’s dad will sit on the couch at about 7:30 to watch the news. Tigger will then climb onto his lap for their mandatory thirty minutes of cuddling.
If Faith’s dad is late for their routine, Tigger gets very upset. Tigger also gets upset if his brother Boots climbs into his dad’s lap before he can get there. Tigger will meow at Boots until he goes away!
If Faith’s dad misses Tigger’s morning cuddling time, Tigger will throw the most hilarious temper tantrum. He’ll pout for the entire day when this happens.
“He will sit in the living room, hold his eyes shut and just open his mouth like he is meowing but nothing comes out,” Faith told The Dodo. “We tell him he will be back and he will open his eyes, but it always looks like he was crying.”
Thankfully, Tigger’s dad doesn’t miss their cuddling session too often—he loves it just as much as Tigger!
“My dad will come home, pick [Tigger] up and ask him if we picked on his baby boy and Tig will just rub his face all over Dad’s. He definitely has a special bond with my dad,” Faith said.
Faith shared a hilarious photo of Tigger on his dad’s lap on Reddit. The photo quickly went viral—everyone loved the funny story behind the image.
One Redditor imagined what the conversation between Tigger’s dad and his boss would be like if he was late for work.
Another Redditor named SchnoodleDoodleDoo wrote an adorable poem from Tigger’s perspective. Faith and her dad absolutely loved it!
Faith also shared some more adorable facts about Tigger and her dad on Reddit. She said that Tigger’s favorite food is Doritos, and her dad will often buy Tigger his own little snack bag.
Faith also said her dad built Tigger and Boots a little enclosure off their sun porch so the two cats can enjoy some time outside. The cats are clearly well-loved!
