Well, at least she got a free CAT scan.

A woman well in to her pregnancy had her feet up, enjoying a little karaoke when her cat decided to check on her bigger mid section.

The curious feline gingerly makes his way on to mom’s lap, fixated on her tummy.

This adorable cat sniffs his mom’s tummy before laying a gentle paw on where the baby is.

He then looks up at her with the softest expression as if to say, “Yes! There’s a tiny hooman!

He sits back and realizes he’s got a human kitty on the way.

The big question is, can cats tell if you’re pregnant?

Experts say yes.

Cats have really sharp noses and ears which means they can pick up on that tiny heartbeat.

And of course, hormones change and the body begins producing more progesterone, estrogen and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormones.

A woman’s metabolism increases, so the body becomes warmer.

Cats love warmth so don’t be surprised when they insist on rubbing and cuddling with you.

Don’t underestimate a cat’s intelligence. They will notice differences in your behavior, seeing as these animals are routine oriented. They will begin to pick up on the changes around them.

Here’s a short story from a viewer. She says,

“My sister has a cat that is the cantankerous sort of bitey type with everyone. Doesn’t really like to be touched. When she got pregnant he was super lovey dovey with her and never bit her the entire pregnancy. Then literally the day she gave birth was back to acting like a little butt hole to her. And now he’s always lovey and patient with my niece ever since she was a baby.”

Isn’t that incredible?

That cranky cat could very well be the next best babysitter.

As pet owners, don’t forget to give the cat attention. Treat them the same way you’ve been treating them, only adjusting to your pregnancy.

Your cat will appreciate it and will reward you with snuggles and even security.

Hey, even the ancient Egyptians held cats in high esteem.

Of course not all cats are the same. Some of them could care less if their owner was pregnant.

Consider yourself lucky if yours behaved like this cat in the video. He’s so gentle. And those eyes are full of love!

A viewer named Edwin said,

“The cat can probably hear a second heartbeat, they have incredible ears, example they can hear a tiny fly, while tv sets makes plenty noise, to mask it to human ears, and human would only detect it from half a meter or so.”

While there’s no scientific proof of cats sensing pregnancy, all signs point towards them knowing that there’s a baby inside.
