When Meredith and her siblings were rescued, they were discovered soaking wet in the rain and in need of help.

At only 3 weeks of age, they were already dealing with significant health issues.

The kittens were infested with parasites, were dealing with upper respiratory infections, eye infections, and were just generally very sick. They were taken to an animal rescue center named “Foster the Fur Babies.”

It was touch and go if Meredith would make it.

Meredith is baby.

Meredith was the tiniest of the kittens and there were concerns she would not survive.

“Meredith was the runt of the litter, and we weren’t sure if her or her siblings were even going to make it,” said co-founder of the center, Gianna Cirucci, to The Dodo. “Thankfully, they all thrived while in our care, but it definitely did not come easy for Meredith.”

Meredith continues to struggle as her siblings get healthier.

Meredith’s siblings got better but she continued to struggle with eye issues. She’d had eye infections when she was brought into the center and it took some time and treatment before they got better.

After numerous trips to the vet, Meredith’s eye issues began to clear up and she was given the green light to be put up for adoption.

Meredith left a lasting impression on the folks at the rescue center.

“She was one of the very first cats we had saved since starting our rescue, and she’ll always be one of our favorites,” Cirucci said of Meredith.

For those unaware, a Starbucks Puppuccino is an item available only on the coffee shop’s secret menu.

It’s just a cup of whip cream that you can give to your dog.

Granted, this is not the healthiest thing to be giving your dog but on occasion, it can be given to good boys who deserve it. Also, they are free!

It’s also not the healthiest thing to give to a cat, but Meredith had been through a lot and she deserved it.

The team did some research and learned that a small amount of dairy is okay for kittens, but only once in a while. So, the team from the rescue center decided to treat Meredith.

Meredith’s rescuers went through a drive-thru and ordered the little kitten her first Starbucks Puppuccino. She immediately took a liking to it.

“She automatically went head first into the cup, and we started recording her because it was a moment we never wanted to forget,” Cirucci said of Meredith’s reaction. “She had us laughing so hard, we were in tears and I was wheezing.”

Meredith just went to town on her treat.

The whipped cream was all over her face. Her rescuers were laughing, the barista at Starbucks was laughing.

Everyone, most notably Meredith, was having a wonderful time with this.

“More of the pup cup got on her face than in her mouth and we cleaned her up directly after, but she definitely had a good time and enjoyed her treat,” Cirucci continued. “She kept trying to pull the cup back to her face and was so upset when we wouldn’t let her have any more.”

It was only a few days after Meredith’s special little treat that she was adopted to her forever home.

She has other cats to play with and some humans who love her very much. Her rescuers miss her dearly but will always remember laughing and sharing that special moment with her at Starbucks.
