Many people love to own cats because they are great companions and at the same time, they are independent.

Just like other people who are happy to have cats in their lives, Georgina Price and her fiance Christopher Lardner were happy to have their first rescued cat – Herbie.

Sadly, they only spent a short time with Herbie.

It’s because he passed away when he was 16 years old. Regardless of the time, they spent together, the pain that they felt upon his passing is unimaginable.

That unfortunate experience urged the couple to help more animals. They look for more cats who needed their help.

And that was how they found two cats – Toby and Quinton.

Georgina shared how they spotted the two adorable felines with an interview with Bored Panda.

“We found them on the RSPCA website when they were looking for a home.”

When they lost Herbie, that made them decide to adopt cats from shelters. So they chose to adopt Toby and Quinton and give them a comfortable home forever.

As they went to RSPCA to finally meet the two cats, they found out the things they were struggling with.

Quinton had no teeth while Toby has a very unique appearance. The main reason behind it is he has Ehler-Danlos Syndrome.

Based on Universities Federation For Animal Welfare article, this syndrome is “a group of connective tissue disorders that are characterized by fragile, stretchy and loose skin, caused by a genetic defect in the production of collagen [and] results in the collagen fibers having an abnormal structure.”

That was probably one of the reasons why Toby and Quinton have been very close ever since they were in the shelter.

Genuine care and love

Despite Toby’s condition, Georgina and Christopher didn’t hesitate to bring them home and give them the love they deserve.

Not to mention that they spotted the two cats afraid and aloof towards them. But because of their real love for the two, it didn’t take long for them to be close and bonded.

And just like before, Toby and Quinton have that special bond that’s so adorable.

They are both sweet to their human befriends.

Georgina shared that Toby loves belly rubs and that he is a happy cat. The couple also makes sure to give Toby extra care due to his condition.

Thankfully, the two felines have their own social media accounts that are being managed by their human parents. On Instagram, they have 177,000 followers.

That huge number is just proof that many people love them too and probably got inspired by their heartfelt story.

Georgina has been sharing photos of their cats alongside Leo who’s also an adorable feline. Their photos online would surely make your day.

What Georgina and Christopher did really changed the lives of Toby and Quinton.

Although they lost the cat that they dearly loved, they chose to endure the pain and change the lives of more cats. They are truly amazing people. Salute!

It’s also inspiring how they raise awareness about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
