A tiny kitten named Bagel was found in shrubs out in the cold together with his siblings. Can you imagine how cold and freezing it is for them given that they’re newborns? As soon as Bagel and her siblings were rescued, they were held up in front of the car’s vents to keep them warm
Bagel’s foster parents were out of town when this happened
The shivering newborn kittens were seen by a woman who’s taking her dog for a walk in the neighborhood. And their foster parents got these shivering kittens up the following day.
They made sure to keep the kittens warm by placing them in a storage box with a heat source and a fluffy stuffed toy to embrace them
Among the three rescued siblings, Bagel’s the smallest. Meet Bagel’s siblings – Spud and Pancake.
She’s the weakest too among the kitten sibs.
Her weight is decreasing and she doesn’t want to eat. But her foster parent, Nikki, didn’t give up. As she said, “Bagel has to live.”
The kittens need to be fed every four hours, so Nikki and her husband make sure to bring the kittens with them wherever they go running some errands. When it’s feeding time, they usually stop by in a parking lot and feed them.
Nikki tried and tried to feed Bagel in a bottle until she started latching on the bottle.
In order for Bagel to eat and gain weight, Nikki patiently tried to feed her in a bottle. And it was pure joy and excitement when she did it on her own! Way to go, Bagel!
After then, she was introduced to eating wet food on her own.
Bagel gets all messy when eating, but it’s okay; at least she’s happily eating. That’s all that matters.
Isn’t she cute despite the food all over her tiny face?
And just like that, Bagel has grown into a fluffy and cute little cat.
