Bengal cats are considered to be one of the most beautiful and intelligent breeds of kitties. These tiny “house leopards” are known for their beauty, which to owners, comes at a very expensive price. But if you’re willing to shell out the money for a Bengal, not only will you have an incredibly gorgeous cat— but you’ll also have one with more brains and personality than you ever could have imagined. It’s not rare for these incredibly smart felines to turn on light switches, play with household technology, and quickly trap prey with the swipe of a paw.

In this video, we see an adorable 5-month-old Bengal try to get himself some prey in the form of a big, juicy drumstick that’s been left on his owner’s plate.

In the video’s description, Sara Cantu writes, “Rajah, my 5-month-old F4 Bengal cat is learning the way of the ninja cat— trying out a sneaky new method to see if it works for him.”

You can see the chicken sitting on a plate beside Sara’s laptop. Rajah’s cat bed is set up behind the screen, and you can see the Bengal eying out the tempting treat.

While PRETENDING TO BE COMPLETELY ASLEEP, the hilarious cat rolls out of his bed and starts trying to swipe the chicken with his eyes still totally closed.

The laying cat even goes so far as to lick the chicken while his amused owner pushes him away.

At the end you see Rajah forget that he’s supposed to be “asleep”. He opens his eyes to groom his paw a bit before glancing back at Sara and closing them tight. He then “falls” out of bed, making another “sleepy” attempt at getting his paws on that meat.

According to WebMD Pets, it’s totally fine to feed your cat chicken meat. The yummy stuff is loaded with protein which cats need to build healthy hearts, vision, and reproductive systems. Cats also really enjoy other meats like beef and turkey too. On the other hand, you should never feed them chocolate, grapes, onions, or garlic, as these things are toxic and will make them very sick.

I’m sorry, but Rajah is hilarious. Seeing him “sneakily” swipe at the chicken while he feigns being asleep cracks me up every time. Don’t be too sad for little Bengal though. “He definitely got his share of chicken after I finished capturing this video,” Sara confirmed.
