When it comes to agility, it’s a tough one between cats and dogs for who should take the crown.
On the one hand, dogs are super obedient, will do tricks for food, and will have a whale of a time completing an obstacle course. But on the other hand, cats are known for their impressive balancing skills, as well as their ability to jump high and land on their feet if they take a fall.
So when a South Korean pet owner set up a 1v1 challenge for his pet cat and dog, we really didn’t know how things were going to turn out.
Meet Gwang Boc, a Norwegian forest kitty, and Milky the Samoyed. Both of them are under two years old yet are internet sensations in South Korea, with over 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube.
In a video posted by their owner on April 17, 2020, we can see Milky and Gwang Boc taking part in their very own obstacle course challenge. The results are hilarious.
First, their owner begins by placing 70 dominoes standing upright. They’re in a corridor so there’s no way that the two fur babies can avoid them.
Then it’s time to wait.
Gwang Boc is the first to arrive. He shows off some seriously impressive skills by walking through the dominoes without even having to look down!
He puts one paw in front of the other and just walks through as casual as anything.
There’s still no sign of Milky, but their owner decides to take things to the next level, and 70 dominoes becomes 140.
Do you think Gwang Boc is going to get through?
Of course he does! Once again, Gwang Boc aces the obstacle course without even having to look down.
What a natural!
Now that Gwang Boc has proved himself a champion, it’s time to push things even further. How about 200 dominoes?
Once more, their owner sets up the dominoes, and then it’s time to wait. Surely Gwang Boc is going to knock down at least one domino?
Wrong! This clever kitty gets through with ease.
But where’s Milky?
Like the good boy he is, Milky comes to his owner when called. But sadly, in his enthusiasm to get there, he knocks over quite a lot of the dominoes!
They’re just so interesting, and they have to be sniffed. But enthusiastic sniffing leads to more dominoes being knocked over.
Oh, dear. Time for another go!
Hilariously, the second time Milky is called, he simply leaps over the dominoes so that he can get to his owner. Well, that’s one way to do it.
Sadly for Milky, he doesn’t quite clear the dominoes. A few fall over as he lands, so that round was yet again unsuccessful.
Milky’s third attempt isn’t much better, but we can’t knock his enthusiasm. Gwang Boc looks on with confusion as he watches his friend try to navigate the dominoes.
He must be thinking, “What’s so difficult?”
At the end of the three rounds, there’s a clear winner of the course, and Gwang Boc takes the crown. But we think that Milky also deserves a medal for his sheer enthusiasm!
