A family adopted an Italian Greyhound named Lou from the shelter. Lou was very timid and scared. He was terrified of people and dogs. According to We Love Animals, Lou had come from an abusive owner and had lived a sad and harsh life. The workers at the shelter thought his spirit may have been broken beyond repair. However, Lou’s new family was not going to give up on him. They decided to show Lou the wonderful moments and places that life had to offer. That summer, they took him to the Hamptons!

At the Hamptons, Lou’s spirit came to life! He met a new friend named Buddha, who helped him be more open to making new furry friends.

If there’s a dog that could help anyone enjoy life again, it was definitely Buddha. After all, his name is Buddha! Just look at him, he’s so zen.

Lou took his first trip to the beach. Like most dogs, he loved it!

He would adoringly stare at the sea (or his owner snapping a photo of him).

He enjoyed the sun on his coat and sand between his paw toes. What a wonderful time for Lou to be alive, especially after all the heartbreak he had been, though.
