There’s nothing we love more than a fun floorwork routine at Crufts, and this next one is extra brilliant – since it features a cowboy outfit and a lasso.
The routine, titled, “Amazing Cowboy routine in Freestyle Heelwork to Music,” was taken from the Crufts 2018 show and shared onto YouTube by the Crufts YouTube channel.
Since being posted, it’s hardly surprising that this brilliant routine has been viewed by over half a million people all over the world.
Border Collie Falko and his owner Lukas Pratschker are the stars of the video, and they’ve been performing since the early 2000s! Lukas was born and raised in Vienna, Austria, and he has always had a love for training dogs.

In fact, Lukas even studied to become a full-time dog trainer when he was still at school!
You might recognize Lukas and Falko from the fourteenth series of America’s Got Talent, where the pair wowed the judges with their 2019 performance.

Lukas has also opened his own practice called School Of Dog, where he helps other dog owners train up their dogs to Falko’s level. At just 24 years old, this talented man has already achieved so much!
With Lucas’ talent and experience, it’s no surprise that their performance at Crufts was so brilliant.
The routine begins with Lukas and Falko crouched in the center of the stage. As the opening few notes of “Walking Backwards” by Brandon Sandefur begin to play, Falko gets up and begins to circle Lukas, before the pair walk backwards away from each other as if following the direction of the song.
The music then switches to an upbeat country song, and Lukas and Falko really begin to get their groove on. Falko immediately steals all the attention with his impressive spinning as he winds in and out from Lukas’ legs.
We’re excited to see how the lasso prop is going to come into play, and we don’t have long to find out!
Halfway through the routine, Lukas whips out his lasso and begins to twirl it above Falko’s head. The clever dog follows the exact movements of the lasso with his eyes as he continues to perform his tricks, including jumping on his two back legs and sticking his bum in the air in time to the music.
For the finale, he takes Lukas’ lasso in his mouth and begins to wrap it around Lukas, tieing him up!
As the music comes to an end, Lukas lifts up his cowboy hat as Falko stands on his hind legs, leaning onto Lukas for support. The crowd goes wild!
It’s not just the crowd who loved the pair’s performance. Many people took to the YouTube comments to praise the amazing skills of Lukas and Falko:
“This was soooo adorable! Just 2 buddies out having a good ol fun time! They made it look effortless,” one person commented.
Another added:
“Probably the best routine I’ve ever seen. This team is incredible. Can’t even imagine the training they did for this.”
“I love these two working together always something great to watch,” a final person wrote. “Good footwork a few little things that I saw but I loved it. They are a couple to be reckoned with. The video doesn’t show what marks the judges gave for this performance – but Lukas and Falko are winners in our eyes!
