There’s just something special about music, and that doesn’t only count for us humans – it can be incredibly important to animals as well.
This latest incredibly heartwarming footage that has surfaced online is definitely proof of that, and it is just too cute to ignore.
Meet Sarper Duman, a musician from Istanbul, Turkey who is locally known as the ‘catfather’.
The man has a passion for animals and playing the piano, and decided to combine both to create a unique mix.
Sarper regularly posts videos on his Instagram account of him performing with one of his feline buddies.
The pianist has no less than nine cats running around in his house, and he saved all of them from the streets.
“I have nine cats now. All my cats are from the streets who I found injured and I helped them for all their treatment,” he said to Love Meow.
“They are peaceful, I am more at peace thanks to them,” he added.
His cats are always around him, and the man actively involves them in his musical performances as well.
“I always play piano at my home almost every night and whenever I sit to play, all my cats come around, they hang out with me and they love to sleep around the piano.”
Veysel, one of the nine cats he rescued, is actually blind, but Sarper makes sure that he can enjoy life to the fullest as well.
“His happiest moment when Veysel is at the window. Listening to the birds, getting fresh air is our favorite activity. I hang out an hour every day at the window with my angel.”
This amazing rescue story was shared across the world, and Sarper was known as the piano musician with some occasional help from his cats. One of the nine felines, in particular, loves to perform duets and joins in on most songs.
“They are my life, they are my heart, they are my peace,” the man concluded.
With more than 625,000 followers on Instagram, Sarper has a ton of fans – both human and feline.
One of his fans sent him a video of a ginger cat listening to Sarper’s tunes. The adorable cat is blind, just like Veysel, and the moment he hears his favorite artist playing is just absolutely heartwarming.
The start of the footage shows us a smartphone against a pillow, playing one of the musician’s songs on Instagram. The first notes start to hit, and you can immediately notice the cat responding to the music.
The furry ginger four-footer reaches towards the smartphone and pulls it closer to him, only to give it a very warm and cuddly hug. It’s absolutely adorable, moving and just an incredible sight to behold.
The pianist then shared the video on his Instagram account and wrote the following caption:
“This has been the most touching message I’ve ever received. This beautiful blind cat’s name is Namik. They say he acts that way whenever he is shown my videos.”
