Roughly one year ago, Reddit user OccamsCudgel shared a heartwarming photo of a tiny, terrified cat. The little kitten is huddled in the corner of a cardboard box and sports, giant bulging eyes.
OccamsCudgel explained that the little scaredy cat had been found outside their office in Florida. No one was sure where they kitty came from, but they doubted he’d be able to survive by himself. They looked for the Mama cat everywhere, but she had simply disappeared.
OccamsCudgel and the other staff members brought the kitten into their office, where they set him up with a warm blanket and yummy food. Although the friendly humans were trying to help him, the little kitten looked heartbreakingly terrified and confused. It was cowering in box’s corner and wasn’t even tempted by the cold water or food.
Office employees weren’t sure how to comfort the little kitten. They didn’t want to make him feel more scared. Finally, one person decided to warm him up with some old-fashioned love.
In the series of photos posted by OccamsCudgel, you see this adorable kitten go from being completely terrified to comforted and ease. In one photo, in particular, you see a woman’s hand fluffing the baby’s face, as he leans into it, eyes closed and contented.
Once the black kitty realized these giant humans weren’t going to hurt him, he started to warm right up. After soaking up a few more loving cuddles, he gulped down the yummy food.
The kitty had fun with his new friends in the office, and at the end of the day, he was taken to a vet. After getting a wellness check and any needed shots and treatments, he was off to find a loving, new home.
OccamsCudgel’s photos got over 11.9k Reddit upvotes, which are similar to Facebook likes. It’s amazing to see the exact moment this kitten goes from utter fear to trust and content.
