Sometimes, we expect family or friends to come and share a merry time over great food and even greater conversation.

It could also be a delivery we expect – especially if you’ve been doing some shopping lately.

Or, it would be nice to have a little surprise by the doorstep, probably some flowers or gifts.

But what would you feel if you found something terrifying outside your door?

We don’t often expect this whenever the doorbell rings.

But we’ve seen many reports about strangers ringing doorbells, trying to barge their way in, and even threatening the family inside.

Others would intentionally destroy the doorbell camera.

But a homeowner in Naples, Florida, saw something more terrifying.

He heard a noise outside, like things knocked over from their porch.

At first, he thought it was merely a stranger making crazy pranks or a drunk trying to destroy some property.

However, when the doorbell rang, he was surprised to see who did it.

Black bears are common in Florida, and in fact, they are the only species of bear found there.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation, they estimated that there are around 4,050 black bears in the state.

Most males live within 60 square miles, while females live nearer at 15 square miles.

Therefore, this black bear ringing the doorbell may be common in the area, but still, who would want to see wildlife outside your porch?

It turns out he was why they heard noises from outside as he knocked down and destroyed their Christmas decorations on the front porch.

You can see how he disfigured that poor snowman figurine.

Whether it was his intention or not, we’ll never know.

Then, the black bear rang the doorbell.

The homeowner, panicked and filled with adrenaline at what he saw, called out from the camera and shouted, “Bear!”

Surprisingly, the bear stopped and looked at the camera as if recognizing that the human inside was calling him.

The homeowner again called out from the camera intercom, “Bear, go away!”

The black bear gave the camera one more look, then started to back away.

It’s as if he understood what the homeowner said and knew he wasn’t meant to be there.

And maybe we can see a sorry face apologizing for that poor snowman!

This video has over a million views, and we see why people loved it.

Yes, it is not as funny or lovely if you were the homeowner, and this incident could quickly turn ugly.

But as it is, it didn’t, and that’s why people loved how the homeowner and the bear didn’t result in violence.

People were also quick to comment on how the black bear reacted to being told to go away.

One commenter said, “His mama raised him right. He rang the bell instead of ripping the door off its hinges and left when he realized he wasn’t welcome.”

Many people seconded this.

We guess this bear was more polite than some humans, don’t you think?
