It’s likely you have seen this incredible video of a beaver herding a pack of cattle on either your social media sites or on your local news station in recent days.
The video has garnered worldwide attention after being posted by Adrienne Ivey from her rural ranch in Ituna, Saskatchewan.
Adrienne and her husband woke up to check on the cattle one morning to find that their entire herd of cattle had become captivated by a small beaver.
The video shows a small and brave leader walking confidently ahead of a giant pack of 150 cattle.
This particular type of cattle is called ‘heifer,’ which means young cows who have not yet had calves of their own. This makes them incredibly curious and energetic.
The interaction continued for about 10 minutes before the beaver disappeared underneath a fence. The cattle stood and watched until he was out of sight, still completely enchanted by him.
We certainly hope Adrienne and her husband continue to document all of the crazy antics that take place on their ranch for many years to come!
