There are many things in the world that many would agree are beautiful, such as a clear waterfall amongst a rich forest, a vibrantly colored flower, or even an amazing geological formation such as the Grand Canyon or the Himalayas.

Likewise, there are no shortage of beautiful creatures, especially when it comes to the majesty and grace of horses. However, this one horse breed takes the cake for the most beautiful horse in the world.

Isn’t that a magnificent coat? This is one of the unique identifiers of the breed, as their shiningly blonde coats appear almost metallic in the light.

In China, these horses are known as the “horses from heaven” – quite a fitting name considering how I would feel blessed just being in the presence of one of these horses.

Make sure you really soak these photos in, as there may not be more photos of this breed in the future.

The Akhal-Teke horse breed is very rare, with only 1,250 left in existence.

Their magnificent coats get their luster from the distinct structural properties of the hairs themselves.

According to scientists, the proteins in these horses’ hairs are arranged to reflect and refract the light when hits the hairs, just like how a metal object would reflect light.

This breed is truly amazing in every sense of the word. Can you imagine seeing one in real life?

That’s an item to add to the bucket list!
