Birds are inquisitive creatures who love exploring the world around them. Babies are also full of curiosity about all the things they’re seeing. Since birds and babies share so many similarities, they love spending time together!
The video below shows some of the hilarious antics babies and birds get up to when they spend time together. Sometimes, the babies simply hold the birds and enjoy petting their wings.
And sometimes, the babies get a little bit too mouthy with the birds!
There’s also an adorable clip of a bird playing hide-and-seek with a little baby girl. The bird is hiding in the last place the little girl would think to look: the top of her head!
There are also a few different clips that show how good birds are at singing lullabies to sleepy babies. These babies love hearing the birds’ songs!
Some babies love their birds so much, they can’t help but give them lots of kisses on their beak!
As you can see, birds make very good pets for families. Some birds are better than others, though, for families who have young kids.
According to The Spruce, parakeets are one of the best birds for kids to have as a pet. These birds don’t mind being handled, making them a good choice for babies. They’re also chatty, which young kids are sure to love.
Cockatiels are another good choice for babies and young kids. These birds can learn tons of tricks, including talking and whistling. They like being out of their cage, and they’ll enjoy running around the house with kids. Be sure to give them a balanced diet that includes vegetables, fruits, and seeds, and make sure to change their water bowl daily.
Finches also make good pets for families. These birds have lovely little singing voices that will light up every room they’re in. It’s a good idea to get two finches so the birds will have a companion.
Unlike parakeets and cockatiels, finches can’t be let out of their cage, so if your little one is looking for a bird they can play with, finches might not be the right choice for them.
