A video has surfaced of an adorable lamb who actually thinks that she’s a dog. She doesn’t only play with her loyal dog friends, but she jumps around just like them as well. It truly is a sight to behold.
Owner Jemma Mackenzie named the cute animal “Pet” after she was orphaned. Jemma says that Pet has started to idolize one of Jenna’s dogs, Dice.
Dice is the oldest collie in Jemma’s animal family and Pet kept seeing her as her mother. The two are truly inseparable and at night, they’d even sleep in the same bed together.
“I always found it hilarious when Pet would start jumping around with all our collies (Dice, Fly, Jess, and Megan) so [I] decided to start filming her one day.
I filmed this at my parents’ house in Lochbroom, near Ullapool in the Highlands of SCOTLAND.”
According to Jemma, Pet can certainly still enjoy being a lamb once in a while as well. During the day, she often goes out into the nearby hills and joins her sheep friends for the entirety of the day. But in the end, the adorable Pet always seems to make it bake home as she sleeps in a basket right next to her dog mom, Dice.
“When she was young she became so attached to the dogs – when she couldn’t see them she would bleat for them,” Jemma’s mom said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
“When she was born she wasn’t doing so well so we lifted her from her mother. She bonded with the dogs and they accepted her as one of them. She’s still a wee bit wobbly but loves to hop, skip and jump around.”
“When she was younger she even slept in the dogs best – she kicked one out of its own bed at one point.”
“I’ve never seen anything like this before – it’s really unusual.”
The video was filmed back in 2014, but only recently started to gather attention on the internet. With over five million views on YouTube, Pet is without a doubt one the most popular lambs on the web and for good reason.
A couple of years have passed since the video was filmed, but luckily Jemma kept Pet’s fans up to date via social media. In 2016, the sheep gave birth to a healthy set of twin lambs that would join the happy family.
