Given his young age, he required careful feeding and medical attention.
His health was precarious at first, and he had to be fed with a syringe.
Thankfully, Riff’s health began to improve.
A few days after his rescue, he opened his eyes for the first time.
Both Osiris and Riff shared a common experience—they knew what it was like to be rescued and cared for by kind-hearted humans.
The owners of this unlikely duo have shared numerous photos of them together, and each one is cuter than the last.
The size difference between the two makes for interesting visuals, but what truly stands out is their unique and playful bond.
Their friendship may seem improbable, but it’s undeniably special.
After his rescue, Osiris underwent training to become a licensed therapy dog.
He has since helped numerous families and pets, with Riff often by his side, observing his work.
The trust between them is absolute.
Riff even ventures into Osiris’s mouth to clean his teeth, a testament to the gentle nature of the dog.
As the owners shared, “Riff Ratt really likes licking the inside of Osiris’ mouth.
Osiris has helped foster and care for dozens of animals and he is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met.”
Who would have imagined that a rescued dog and a rescued rat could become such close friends?
Their adventures continue, and they are often joined by other friends, including Milhouse the rat and Maria the cat.
