All creatures have beauty, and some photographers are experts at capturing it. Matteo is a professional photographer who discovered his love of birds at an aviary exhibition. He had originally been looking for a pet, a Concincina for his garden, but when he saw all the gorgeous birds out there he knew he had to capture them all on film.
“Just look at them. They are beautiful. And they know it,” the artist says of his many subjects. He and his friend Giorgio have been photographing all the wonderful birds they could find. They even have enough to fill a book! Here are 30 chickens that are like none you’ve ever seen before.
