If someone asked you what your dream job would be – what would you say? Maybe you’d want to work with kids. Perhaps you’d want to work with food or cooking. But for many – I think it’s safe to say that working with baby animals would be at the top of the list, right?

The lucky zookeeper in the video below happens to have one of the dreamiest jobs in the world – taking care of little baby pandas.

Imagine coming to work every day to be greeted by adorable black and white fluffballs that just want to play and be kids! Talk about complete job envy. One of the zookeeper’s duties is to bathe the pandas. And, as you can imagine, much like bathing an enthusiastic puppy – it wasn’t going to be an easy task.

The man in the video works at a zoo in China and he casually walks into the panda bears’ enclosure with a bowl of water and a washcloth in hand. The three baby pandas immediately showing excitement by his presence.

Gently cleaning one of the baby’s face with the washcloth, the zookeeper can’t help but smile – how could you not?!

As the video continues, things just keep getting more adorable. As the man continues to bathe one of the babies, it’s clear that the others are becoming restless and anxious. They wanted some attention too!

So, naturally, in completely ‘baby panda bear form,’ one of the little guys decides to gain the zookeeper’s attention by climbing up his back! The man doesn’t seem to mind (why would you?) and tries his best to continue cleaning the cubs.

As the keeper stays crouched down by the bowl of water, trying to clean up the cubs – he soon becomes the panda’s personal playground.

Not giving up on the task at hand, the caretaker continues to deal with the squirmy babies, all while scrubbing them from their nose to their paws. Each one wriggling and climbing and moving around constantly! Sounds fairly familiar to human babies too, doesn’t it?

Looking a bit overwhelmed after a moment, the zookeeper’s face gives off some hints that he might need a little help. Dealing with so many hyper and excited baby pandas is more difficult than you’d expect – by the time he gives each one a full bath, it could be a while.

Of course, commenters on YouTube couldn’t help but express their jealousy of this man’s career choice.

“This is one job I would never ever pretend to call in sick,” said one person.

“The “employee” is not an employee, he’s actually a therapy patient paying for the privilege of feeding and caring for these cuddly furballs,” commented another.

“If this was my job, am ready for overtime, I’ll be clocking in an hour early…..where can I sign up?” asked a YouTuber.

The hilariously precious moment can be viewed in the video below, but first – panda facts!

Pandas are absolutely fascinating creatures…did you know?

  • Pandas’ eyes are different than other bears. Like cats, they have vertical slits for pupils.
  • Cubs learn how to climb trees at just 5 months old (this might explain what we’re seeing in the video!)
  • They have an extended wrist bone that acts like a thumb to help hold food.
  • Pandas spend 10-16 hours a day eating bamboo.
  • On average, pandas poo around 40 times a day!
