Not all days are good days. And on the days that aren’t good days, we could use a pick me up. But a wrong text usually doesn’t have the kind pick me up kind of oomph we’re looking for.
A wrong text can be kind of annoying. Usually, someone will apologize and we’ll say “no problem.” But for Stormy Rose Bruce, a wrong text was exactly what she needed to brighten up her day.
Bruce was having a less than awesome day when she noticed she got a text message on her phone. When she looked at her phone, she realized that she didn’t recognize the number.
She decided to open the text and was overjoyed by what she saw. Her day was immediately turned around since the text contained one of the cutest furry faces she had ever seen.
“I was thoroughly excited,” Bruce told The Dodo. “It’s not every day you get such a beautiful wrong text. It was an extremely welcome smile. Animals are the way to my heart, as I always say.”
She was looking at a picture of a dog hanging out in a dryer. She didn’t know who the coon hound was but she later found out her name was Lyla.
“Wait who is this?” asked Bruce.
Lyla’s human fired back an immediate response and apologized for the accidental text.
“Sorry, wrote number haha,” they replied.
Bruce, of course, wasn’t upset in the least bit. That text made her whole day. It turned her bad day into a much better day. It was the greatest wrong text she’s ever received.
“This was the best wrong number text of my life, thank you so much, Lyla is beautiful!”
“Lol, I’ve got some super goofy dogs,” they replied.
Bruce went even further and told them they could send pictures of Lyla whenever they wanted to. The photo was currently blowing up after she posted it on Facebook..
“Well I’m here for it. I enjoy all the doggos. I posted this screenshot on Dogspotting (Facebook) and it’s blown up. Lol.”
Lyla’s owner was more than happy to oblige and sent a few more gems along.
“Here’s one more of Lyla the walker coon hound,” Lyla’s owner said.
Bruce was overjoyed. She couldn’t get enough of Lyla’s cute face in that dryer. She expressed her immense gratitude to Lyla’s human.
“You literally have no idea how much I needed this today, thank you so much kind person for accidentally texting the wrong person,” Bruce wrote. “She is gosh dang adorable.”
“You’re welcome! Hahaha glad it made your day,” Lyla’s human wrote.
Bruce hopes to get more Lyla pictures in the future but for now, she’s pretty happy. Her whole day was turned around thanks to an accident and a kind stranger.
I mean, look at that face! How can you not smile? It has to be one of the cutest wrong number texts of all time.
