We have all heard of the scary place known as “death-row.” It is essentially a holding place for people who have been convicted of a capital crime. For animals, however, it is a bit different. For stray or abandoned animals who can’t get adopted, euthanization is usually the path taken.

For animals nearing the end of their adoption potential, it is like death row for them, only for a crime they never committed.

These poor animals are just waiting around in a cage, hoping a loving family or individual will come in and rescue them. When someone adopts the animal, they are literally saving a life!

Cat Rescue Newcastle is an organization that is devoted to saving felines from these kill shelters.

Through donations, CRN goes out and saves so many of these cats from the jaws of death.

We are a friendly group of dedicated and hard-working volunteers with a mission. To rescue as many cats as possible that are currently on death-row in our local and surrounding pounds and find them permanent, loving homes. We firmly believe that these lost, abandoned, neglected and/or abused cats deserve second chances. The passionate volunteers here at Cat Rescue Newcastle provide just that: second chances!

Adelle is one of the “foster moms” that works with CRN. Recently, she went on a trip to meet a special cat that was literally hours away from being euthanized. When Adelle stepped in, she saved his little life.

“This beautiful little kitten, named ‘Henry’, was rescued from the pound with hours left to live on death row. Adelle, one of Cat Rescue Newcastle’s foster carers, saved him…” – YouTube

In this video, Henry shows just how thankful he really was.

With over 1.3 million views, one video shows us how endearing and kind these cats that are being rescued genuinely are. At first, we see Adelle sitting in her car, seemingly alone.

Turning to the side, she pspspsps‘s to the passenger – and then Henry shows up!

Henry makes his appearance in the video! When many of us imagine “kill shelters,” we think of places with old, run-down animals who are just waiting to die (and that some are better off that way). That isn’t the reality, however. Cats like Henry are happy and healthy; they just need someone to love them.

When they find someone who cares, they reflect that love back.

As we can see, right when Adelle turns her head, Henry decides that her face needs a good snuggling from him. It is almost like he is saying thank you to the person that is rescuing him from such a horrible place.

Henry looks happy and healthy, as a cat should!
