We just love teasing our dogs so much because we adore seeing their very funny reactions. Some have tried playing hide-and-seek with their dogs while others simply do the things that annoy them. This dog mom has done plenty of pranks for her dogs and this one is one of her best pranks.
Introducing the family of house wolves.
Karen, the dog mom, owns two giant sable German shepherd dogs named Jade and Jasper. Mom refers to them collectively as “house wolves” because of how their looks closely resemble their wolf ancestors. Jade is currently three years old while her brother is one.
However, they are just as big as each other and you cannot easily determine which is who at first glance. Without their nametags, the easiest way to tell these two apart is the shade of their ears; Jade has darker ears while Jasper’s ears look was pinkish. The two have very unique personalities but they are both suckers for their mom’s funny pranks.
Blending in with the pack with a dog mask.
One day, Karen decided to wear a special German shepherd mask in an attempt to fool Jade and Jasper. She was sitting behind a spot where the dogs cannot easily see her. The moment she was ready, Karen called the dogs with a sharp whistle, and shortly after, the dogs came trotting to find her.
The dogs found their mom behind the pillar, but something seemed odd about her. Karen spooked them with bark and it only got the pooches more excited. Jade immediately knew it was their mom behind the mask except for the other and all Jasper wanted to do was to drive away from the cheap impostor at their home.
Jasper was so confused about the weird dog in the room.
Jasper has probably no idea that it was his mom all along. He wrestled her mom and then tried to get his mouth on the rubber mask. Jade joins the fray for a little thinking that they are playing but only leaves after a short time.
Meanwhile, Jasper continues to wrestle with Karen, and then as he got upset, he started barking at her. Jasper only realized that it was her mom behind the mask when Karen stopped barking and instead called him close with her soothing voice.
Jasper immediately went to her mom and then sat on her lap to ask for some cuddly snuggles. Jade, on the other hand, prances around the room back and forth, and only barked from the distance.

Sable German Shepherd dogs are a rare type of the German shepherd breed in which their unique colored coat is what defines them. Moreover, All Things Dogs wrote in an article about this breed, “The Sable German Shepherd is the only color which fits the dog’s founding member’s strong ideology of a true Shepherd dog.”

This special breed has a long history and Sables are the first of the German shepherd species. Jade and Jasper have inherited this unique trait, making them even more special dogs.
