Do you co-sleep with your pets?

Science shows that co-sleeping with your pets has many physical and mental health advantages.

For example, sleeping in the same room increases the amount of time you’ve with them.

This gives both the owner and the pet the feeling of companionship and comfort.

However, some people who have experience with pet co-sleeping also say that you don’t get enough sleep or settle with interrupted sleep when you’re with them.

Tanyssa Marie, the owner of the YouTube channel Jade The Sable GSD, shared a video about eleven months ago.

Her video garnered over 11 million videos due to the fact that people loved dogs, and millions can relate to her situation.

In the viral video, we see Tanyssa sleeping with her three German Shepherd dogs, Jade, Jasper & Jet.

The video starts at bedtime, at around 9:00 p.m.

We already see Tanyssa tucked in her bed, seemingly sleeping.

One dog was in bed with her and the two others were on the side of the bed.

For the next two hours, the dogs looked like they were trying their best to find the best position to sleep.

They were quiet, but still alert and awake.

At around 12 midnight, we see the two dogs sleeping, while the other one was stretching, and then, suddenly, he barks.

Tanyssa got startled and checks her phone.

The dog who barked went up to the bed with her, giving her kisses.

It’s like he’s saying sorry for being so loud, but in his defense, he was just being alert.

For about an hour, all three dogs were awake, and seem bored.

Then at around past 1 a.m., two dogs fell asleep, and one was still awake.

For about four hours, the dogs seemed to be taking shifts guarding their “pack” as one would always stay awake while the others were asleep.

They tried their best not to wake up Tanyssa too.

At around 5 a.m., the sun was finally up, and two dogs went up the bed.

Excited for the day ahead, one dog tried to wake up Tanyssa but she just gave him a few rubs and went back to sleep.

All three dogs were wide awake by now and are already playing around the bedroom.

They would like and kiss her, trying to wake up her, but they eventually gave up.

At 7 a.m., all three dogs were patiently resting in the bed with Tanyssa, waiting for her to wake up, and she did!

Two dogs were grooming each other when suddenly, Tanyssa opened her eyes and checked the time.

They all greeted her and took turns getting their good morning rubs.

So, do you think it’s best to sleep with your pets?

The answer is, well, it depends.

Figure it out by checking your health and your dog’s health.

There are times when you’re too busy during the daytime and spending the night with your pets is the only time you’re building a connection.

You also need to think about both of your health.

Some people are light sleepers, so having a dog will affect their sleep.

These are just a few of the things that you need to consider before deciding if co-sleeping with your dog is for you or not.

Nonetheless, we all just want to make sure that both owner and pet get enough love, companionship, and rest.
